Ezra’s passion for filmmaking began when he got his first camcorder at age thirteen, which led to many years of making skateboard, parkour and other urban sports films and eventually led to him enrolling at Newport University to study Documentary Film. He graduated in 2011 with a first class honours and has been hugely active in the filmmaking world ever since.
He started out as a lighting cameraman/DoP, working on a broad range of productions from TV drama and Feature documentary to music videos and commercials, however he quickly developed an equal love of editing and ultimately of constructing and telling stories, which has led him to become the shooting, lighting & editing director he is today.
The combined history of shooting and editing has made Ezra exceptionally good at creating scenes and sequences on the fly and ensuring that the story remains the heart and focus of any film, regardless of genre.
Over the last five years, based in south London but working across the globe, Ezra has built up an extensive roster of other trusted freelancers and is therefore very well placed to crew entire productions as well as working as a sole freelancer.
Equipped to produce 4K and High Frame Rate content, Ezra is the owner of a vast array of kit, including a Sony FS7 camera, a couple of 5D cameras, a full set of Canon f2.8 EF zoom lenses and a set of Cine T1.5 prime lenses.
